 Born within Recife, Hernanes is a product of the S�o Paulo academy and has performed for them since 2001. He was loaned out towards Santo Andr� for the 2006 season. In 2008, as a S�o Paulo musician, Hernanes won the Pr�mio Craque do Brasileir�o's greatest musician award. In January 2009, Hernanes was numbered as the most assuring football musician within the earth via the British newspaper, The Times.On six August 2010, S�o Paulo accepted sell Hernanes towards Lazio.
